Dragan Čišić is full professor at Faculty of Maritime Studies University of Rijeka, and full member of European Academy of Sciences and Arts . Head and founder of Rijeka Innovation Living Lab , member of European Network of Living Labs ( 4 wave) . President of Croatian Logistic Association and member of European Logistic Association (ELA). Founding member and coordinator of ALADIN – Alpe Adria University Initiative. From 1990 to 2014 member of Central European Initiative IT Task Force . Visiting profesor on masters on Universiity degli studi di Trieste, UNIAdrion (IT) and ph.d. study on Univerza v Mariboru, and ph.d. schools NITIM ( Network od Information technology and Innovation Management) and European Logistics Association ph.d. european logistics summer school 2015.

Associate Professor. Graduated in 1999 from the Faculty of Maritime Studies of the University of Rijeka and became B.Sc. in Technology maritime traffic. At the Faculty of Economics in 2005 defended his scientific thesis (master degree), and then at the same university in 2008 defended his doctoral degree and received his doctor's degree in social sciences, field of economy. He completed his professional master's Economics for Sustainable Transportation Development in the Virtual University of the Adriatic-Ionian Basin, Trieste-Italy. He works at the Faculty of Maritime Studies, University of Rijeka as an associate professor and is currently the vice-dean for business relationships, and from 1 October 2016 to perform the function of the Dean of the Faculty. It carries the following courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels: Sea port management, Economics of shipping, Port business and Economics and organization of maritime passenger transport and on doctoral study the subject Economics of infrastructure projects in the port system. As a subcontractor to the Faculty of Maritime Studies, University of Split he is a holder of the courses Port operations and Port system. He was head of the inter-university doctoral studies of Faculty of Maritime Studies in Rijeka and cooperating institutions. He has participated in over fifty professional and three scientific projects related to the organization, logistics operations, concession, economic exploitation and management of maritime organizations (ports and shipping companies). The most important his research projects are: National Development Plan ports of county and local importance in Croatia, Master plan of ports open to public traffic from the county and local interest in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, Sustainable Development Strategy of Cruising Zourism in Croatia, Ten Year Development Plan Croatian port system and many others. He was engaged and the three European project, of which the one was the leader of the European project "Developing of Motorways of the Sea system and Adriatic region - AdriaticMoS" IPA Adriatic cross-border cooperation. He has published independently or co-authored about 60 scientific papers in the field of economics, logistics, traffic and transport, ports and shipping, and participated in a number of national and international conferences and meetings. He is coauthor or author of three university books entitled "The management of sea passenger port", "Management in shipping and ports" and “Management of sea ports”. He is member of: Chamber of Engineers Transport Technology - Vocational class engineer’s traffic on inland waterways and maritime transport, Croatian Scientific Society for Transport, the Scientific Council for Maritime Affairs - section of the sea port of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts and the Croatian Academy of Engineering, Croatian Society economists and the International maritime companies in Economics (IAME).
