And it also encompasses a more interactive and responsive city administration, safer public spaces and meeting the needs of an ageing population.

Transportation networks,with its polluting emissions, in most urban centers are often packed, and any small disruption can easily lead to long traffic jams. Rijeka Innovation Living Lab believconsiders that technology is the answer to these problems. Traditionally, it has held a great deal of expertise in the fields of Intelligent Transport Systems, Automotive Technology, Logistics and Planning Systems, and ICT/ Embedded Systems.
